Libby Saylor, Principal & Founder of Anchor Girl Organizing
Why Organizing?
After a decade spent supporting the businesses and lives of others, I knew I was ready to build something of my own.
Anchor Girl grew from the intersection of two things that have always come naturally to me: creating order and creating beauty.
Before founding Anchor Girl, I served as Executive Assistant to the CEO of Lilly Pulitzer, where organization wasn't simply about keeping a tidy desk. It meant anticipating needs, managing countless moving parts, solving problems before they became problems, and creating systems that allowed an incredibly busy environment to function seamlessly.
The eye for design came even earlier.
I was raised by an architect and a textile designer, so conversations about space, proportion, color and design were simply part of growing up. That background gave me a strong spatial instinct and an appreciation for the way thoughtful design can completely change how a space looks and how it feels.
Over the years, I realized that my ability to see how a space could work better was just as important as seeing how it could look better.
Whether I was organizing the working life of a busy executive, my own home, or the homes of friends and family, I kept coming back to the same idea: we all need room to live, move and breathe.
That belief became the heart of Anchor Girl Organizing.
Today, I help individuals and families move from chaos to collected through professional home organization, decluttering, move management, downsizing, staging and thoughtful home setup. Every project begins with the person not the Pinterest picture. I take the time to understand how you live, what isn't working and what you need your space to do for you.
Because I don't believe organization and design should exist separately.
A beautifully organized home can be practical and personal. It can make mornings easier, moves less overwhelming and everyday routines more intuitive. And it can still be a space that inspires you, comforts you at the end of the day and feels unmistakably like home.
